Chrome In Android's incognito mode I could soon be blocked by additional privacy

Private navigation or incognito mode is one of the most basic private protection mechanisms offered by web browsers today. Although it is sometimes confused with the total protection of privacy, the incognito mode simply ensures that it does not leave the traces in the browser itself. However, that protection is quite useless if someone else keeps your phone and the browser is open. That is why Google has been working on a mechanism of reauthentication for the incognito mode that comes to Android soon.

Physical access to a device almost always makes the security features, especially when the phone is already unlocked. The incognito mode is also useless when the tabs are already open in the background, and all that is needed is that the unauthorized user re-changing it to see what has been browsing secretly. Another lock for the incognito mode adds another layer of security, assuming that the pin or biometric authentication has enabled on your phone.

Chrome Story reports a new flag in Chrome for the Canarian android development version that adds exactly that. Once the flag has been enabled and Chrome has been restarted, a new configuration in the privacy and browser security settings will allow you to activate or deactivate reauthentication. If enabled, you will be asked to enter the PIN on your phone or use the unlocking of the face or your fingerprint to access the incognito tabs.

Google actually presented this experiment to Chrome for iOS. When you navigate away from those incognito tabs for any reason, you must be reuible to your phone to see them again. However, you will have to take advantage of the first button, so it will not be as automatic as unlocking your phone.

The implementation of iOS, unfortunately, is not yet available to the general public, and your Android counterpart may still be far at this point. Meanwhile, users should remember that private navigation mode is not bulletproof, and websites, operators, and even Google can still notice their activity.
