The criterion has presented its first 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray released with a six film blackboard that includes Citizen Kane, Society Image II, piano, Mulholland Dr., red shoes and a hard night. The new releases will give the Buffs of the film the opportunity to see some of these films with the highest detail, even during their theatrical careers.
Notes of criteria that the masterpiece of Welles Orones, Citizen Kane, was his first laserdisc’s launch 37 years ago. “Now the library meets after a long absence, which makes its first appearance at 4K Ultra HD,” Criterion wrote on him. The other launches represent an eclectic variety of periods ranging from the 1940s with red shoes, the 1960s (hard night) until the 90s and aughts with the Menace II Society, Mulholland Drive and the Piano)))
Each title will come in a combined package that includes the 4K UHD and 1080P Blu-Ray versions, along with the popular special criterion features on each film. Some films will also be available at Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos, although the criterion still has to say that.
The new 4K UHD criterion releases will probably represent the best way to watch classic movies at home. However, if you do not need super pristine quality, it launched the criteria transmission service in 2019 and now offers “1,000 important classic and contemporary movies,” according to the site.
