There is a lot of money to get into mobile games, but most of the media attention tends to focus on ESPORT titles such as Doors and Batte Roose. Of course, there are dozens, if not, hundreds of other mobile games on the market that can be equally addictive, even while they are classified as casual. Razer, however, wants to convert those informal games into something as aggressive and exciting with his instant game tournaments of Cortex that make these casual or “hypersal” games at a competitive ESPORT type.
Of course, these casual games are not suddenly converted into competitive titles online only because they become part of the Cortex tournament. Instead, competition happens indirectly through classification tables. The greater your score, the higher your chances of winning Razer Silver at the end.
The instant play tournaments of the Razer cortex are also not like the ESPORTS tournaments. It is more like a seasonal Olympics, with 4 or 6 tournaments that run at all times. Each tournament can last as short as a day to a couple of weeks. New new games and new tournaments are added and rotated to keep mobile players on their toes.
The first tournament in that selection is Sneki Snek Adventure, who is also doing his debut. Based on the mascot “Aware of the environment” of Razer, the game requires players to avoid poisoned obstacles and collect seeds for sowing. All the income generated by the game will be donated to international conservation.
Razer Cortex Instant Game Tournaments are launching with 100 games in their catalog and up to 60,000 Silvers Razer at stake. Free Game Games are accessible from the Android Cortex application and, soon, on PC as well.
