The release date for Diablo II was raised quickly approaching, but Blizzard would host a pair of beta tests before the full match arrived. The first is an initial access test that will only be available for those who order games, while the second is an open beta test that can be followed by anyone. Today, Blizzard confirms the date for this beta test and reveals details about each of them.
The Beta Access Access will take place this weekend, starting on Friday, August 13 for PC, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One player, PS5, and PS4 (unfortunately, no Nintendo Switch) which in advance Diablo II was raised or the Diablo Prime Evil collection. Beta will start at 10 am PDT, although you can see the time starting for your specific time zone in the picture below. The initial beta access will run until Tuesday, August 17, at 10 am PDT.
Open Beta will begin on the same platform a few days later, running from Friday, August 20 at 10am PDT until Monday, August 23 at 10 am PDT. Beta is free to anyone on the supported platform listed above to participate, regardless of pre-order status. Again, you can check the image below for regional start time.
This will be a Multipemain beta, so you will be able to link with friends, but like the technical alpha we see before, developments through stories will be limited to only to act 1 and 2. However, there will be two new classes to play this time , because Blizzard has added Paladin and Druid to Betas. They will join Barbarians, Sorceress, and Amazon, three classes available during technical alpha. Sorry, fans of Necromancer and Assassin, but it looks like you have to wait for a full game to be played as your choice class.
Blizzard has collected a long FAQ about beta, and which can be found on the company’s news site. Diablo II was raised out on the Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Playstation 4 on September 23, 2021.
